MTM RECOGNITION UNITES WITH MLS CHAMPIONS!

ANNAPOLIS, April 27, 2005 - D.C. United chose MTM Recognition to craft the team's Major League Soccer Championship Rings. The MTM Mid-Atlantic office is in familiar territory having designed and manufactured many of the regional championship rings for teams like the Baltimore Ravens, DeWalt Racing, Delmarva Shorebirds (Orioles A Affiliate) and most recently the 2003 & 2004 Baltimore Blast.

The rings were created in 14k yellow or white gold, with a total of � carats of pave set diamonds surrounding the teams Eagle that is centered on the top. A ten-point diamond is set in the eagle crest. Four bezel set diamonds, representing D.C. United's four championships surround the face of the ring. Each ring was customized with the individual's name and number or title. Other details located on each side of the ring include the D.C. United logo, MLS Cup Logo, 2004 and 4 stars symbolizing the organizations 4 championships.

"All of D.C. United's players and staff were thrilled with the look and quality of the rings", said Stephen Zack, D.C. United Sr. Vice President. "MTM worked very closely with us to develop a ring that was both within our budget and in keeping with our championship tradition. They did an outstanding job."

The rings were distributed to the D.C. United players, coaches and staff members as part of a Championship Ring Night at R.F.K. Stadium in Washington D.C. on Saturday, April 23, 2005. Also that night, a lucky fan won the 12th Man Promotion, where a championship ring was presented to him on the field before the game.
